Sold for:
$60

Lovely porcelain tray approximately 9" in length and 6" in width, marked clearly to the bottom "KPM" with the KPM scepter, and fitted for the accompanying elevated porcelain jars. One jar is a lidded inkwell, the other is a lidded sander. Each lidded jar is approximately 1-3/4" in height without lids, & approximately 2-1/2" in height with lids on. All pieces are white in color base with blue and gold striping detail. The KPM Manufacturing Company from Berlin, Germany has been producing fine porcelains since 1763. Before each piece is stamped with the cobalt-blue scepter, it goes through many stages and strict quality controls, ensuring every item is a masterpiece. KPM porcelain is almost exclusively produced by hand. The manual production process and complex decoration techniques give each piece a truly unique character. Gilding, flowers, fruits, animals, landscapes and backgrounds are all painted in freehand by the manufacturer's skilled artists.
