John Phillip Osborne (American b. 1951- ), "Pond Interior". Oil on canvas painting depicting a wooded forest with tall evergreen trees on the opposite side of still pond. Bond with reflection of trees as well as floating leaves. Signed lower right "J.P. OSBORNE". Back with Mongerson Wunderlich, Chicago, Illinois sticker with hand written label with title, artist, medium and size. Torn Mongerson Wunderlich label on verso of frame from a different Osborne work--likely changed to different frame. Accompanied with copy of John Phillip Osborne's curriculum vitae from Quast Gallery, Taos, New Mexico and a copy of a September 1991 article "Romancing the Light" in American Artist magazine by the artist where he writes on his work and artistic process (page 62-66). Lastly, accompanied with a copy of the invoice for the painting "Pond Interior" from Quast Galleries, Taos, New Mexico to Mr. Thomas Patton in August of 1995. Framed 28 inches x 24 inches. Unframed 20 inches x 16 inches. Provenance: Quast Galleries, Taos, New Mexico The Estate of Mr. Thomas V. and Mrs. Marie B. Patton, Atlanta, Georgia.
