"Buck Town-Lake Pontchartrain N. O. L.A."; oil on board; signed in bottom right corner; written on back "Larry Edwardson 47 Fifth Ave. N.Y.C." as well as titled; unframed; measures approximately 20" x 24". Laurence Christie Edwardson was born in Waltham, Massachusetts in 1904 and lived part of his life in Kensington, Connecticut. Much of his painting career was spent in New England and New Orleans, Louisiana. His work includes many Louisiana landscapes, portraits and religious subjects; and one of his modernist works is in the Historic New Orleans Collection.
