FRANK WALTER LAWRENCE PORTRAIT JEWEL, ca. 1895; Carved 18k gold in the rococo style with rose cut diamonds in platinum ribbon-tied aster blossoms frames a glaze-painted portrait ivory of a young child, detachable brooch fittings and hinged bail. 14 dwt. (22 gs.). Note: Depicts Charles Remsen Robinson, born to a New York family in 1887, graduated Cornell in 1907, enrolled at Yale Sheffield Scientific School in 1908.
