20th century. Set of four matching ebonized and gilt wood arm chairs in Regency style. Chairs with ebonized wood frames with gilt wood accent banding on scrolled arms above shell form detail. Legs and back supports with cylindrical bands with twisting foliate decoration. Seats and backs upholstered in cream-colored checkerboard velvet fabric. Fabric upholstery with brass hardware tacking on border. Two chairs with red plaid silk covers with tie closure and ruffle skirting. Fabric likely J. Robert Scott silk. Height 32.25 inches, width (bottom of arms) 22.25 inches, depth 20.5 inches. Seat to floor 19 inches.
