Renaissance Era. Carved limestone sculptural fragment depicting a figure wearing a draped cloak and a cross body shoulder bag resting on him. Antiquities Classical figure missing head, legs, and some of arms. Male figure mounted on a vertical metal rod with a square steel base. Overall height (on base) 21 inches. Height of carving approximately 12.6 inches. According to the consignor, fragment was purchased from Jeff Jones Antiques in Atlanta, Georgia in February of 1997. Provenance: From the Estate of Mr. Thomas V. and Mrs. Marie B. Patton, Atlanta, Georgia.
