53. Cigarette/Candle Combination. New Haven, Petrie & Lewis, ca. 1939. Short metal stand which facilitates the production and vanish of lit cigarettes or birthday candles in the magician’s hands. Red lacquer over brass. 8 ¾” high. Very good. One of the more elusive P&L-manufactured magic props, even more so with a painted finish. This device is a cousin to the more popular billiard ball stands of Conradi, Abbott, and Willmann.
