Black buckram stamped in gold. Portions of the publisher’s printed wrappers laid down inside. Engraved frontispiece, “Dick Spot causing the Pedlar to break his Earthenware,” dated July, 1798. 12mo. p. [1-3], 4 – 48. Rear board dusty; a few leaves creased, scattered browned areas. Very good. Scarce. Hall 191. The edition Hall recorded is shorter, was printed a year earlier, and was said to include a brief section on sleight of hand not present here.
