[Backgammon] Two antiquarian volumes on backgammon. Including Le Grand Trictrac, ou Methode Facile Pour Aprendre Sans Maitre (Avignon: Girard & Seguin, 1739), in contemporary brown calf with gilt spine, and profusely illustrated with woodcut diagrams of backgammon positions, 8vo; and Lettre en Vers Sur le Jeu de Trictrac (Paris, 1834), in fine nineteenth century brown calf, the spine decorated and lettered in gilt, with gilt floral roll around covers and board edges, marbled endsheets, 8vo. Minor internal wear to latter volume. Age-consistent wear to bindings, but both sturdy and clean.
