Detroit Great Lakes Steamship Painting. Circa 1960. Unsigned acrylic on board. 22 x 11 ½”. Depicts the George R. Fink, a Great Lakes Freighter of the National Steel Corporation traversing the Detroit River, with backdrop of the downtown cityscape. Iconic Detroit landmark buildings and signs such as Hudson’s and Vernor’s visible. The steamship was built in 1906 and foundered in August, 1962. Matted and in original vintage frame. Very good.
