978. Oak Tea Caddy Inlaid With Mother of Pearl. English, second quarter nineteenth century. Rectangular mother of pearl inlay on lid, with the original pink floral paper lining, on which the first owner’s inscription is dated in black ink 1838. With two lidded compartments, working lock mechanism and key. Approx. 8 ½ x 4 ¼ x 4”. Turned compartment handles not indentical.
