Durbin, W. W. Oversize photograph of W.W. Durbin on Stage. Kenton, OH, ca. 1900. Large-format photograph shows Durbin, possibly in his private theatre, the stage filled with elaborate magic apparatus. 14 ½ x 10 ½”. Chipping, wear and pinholes. Durbin worked as a professional magician for five years, and later in life served ten years as president of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Later still, he served as the registrar of the U.S. Treasury under Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
