Houdini, Harry. Program for Houdini’s appearance at the Alhambra, London. Week of December 10, 1900. Houdini appears as the ninth act on a 14-part program, billed as the “King of Handcuffs, and the World’s Greatest Mystifier.” A full-length photo of a manacled Houdini challenging spectators to bring their own cuffs to the theatre appears on one page. Internal repairs with old cellotape, else good. A truly early Houdini program, dating from the first year of his success in Europe under the direction of Martin Beck.
