Abbott, David P. Group of three TLS from David P. Abbott. With outstanding and important contents, including discussions of the Bangs sisters ("…they are worth about 4 million…"), Spirit Paintings, and a glowing description of Alexander's (Claude Alexander Conlin) act, which states, in part, "The magic part is just fair and interesting but his Simla Séance is in a wholly different category. It is the most marvelous mysterious and mystifying thing of the kind ever given in the world I think. Eva Fay is a child's kindergarten beside him." "The whole thing is the marvelous work of the man himself." Dated 1919 and 1920; two letters in good condition, the other chipped and torn, but contents intact.
