Die Box. European, ca. 1900. Handsome early die box for the traditional sucker effect. Operates with a sliding carriage for the shell. Fine burled wooden panels and brass hardware with painted black accents. Original tin shell included, but lacks die (easily replaced). 8 ½ x 4 ½ x 4 ½". Shows wear and age; fair condition. Still, an early and desirable example of this perennially popular effect.
