Miller, Charlie (Charles Earle Miller). Three letters from Charlie Miller to Jay Marshall. In Charlie Miller's hand, these deeply personal letters written from San Antonio, Texas, describe magic tricks and routines, personal problems ("I've been broke so long I forgot what a nickel looks like."), money owed to various magicians, thoughts on magic props, and his design for a preferred set of Cups and Balls that would eventually lead to the manufacture of the Miller Cups by Magic, Inc. Some of the contents are quite surprising for their frankness and virtually foul language. Dated March 9, 10, and 31, 1963. The March 10 letter appears to be incomplete. Good condition.
