Oil on canvas; 1956; signed in bottom left "Terry Lightman '56"; measures approximately 24-1/2" x 18-1/2" and has a sight image of approximately 24" x 18"; unpainted wood frame.Terry Lightman was born in Washington, D.C. in 1911 and died in 2003. Has said of her work "The style of my work...can be described as neither figurative nor abstract. Rather, it is based on the symbols of Aramaic lettering with its bold rings, circles, and, mostly, geometric patterns, including the geometric patterns seen in my early works."; apparently in good condition.
