[Houdini Handcuffs] Hamburg 8 handcuffs, used and owned by Harry Houdini. Nickel plated folding handcuffs. Gaffed for quick release by the performer in full view of the audience, but will remain locked tightly on the wrists of an uninitiated spectator. Worn as expected and key lacking, but generally good condition. Accompanied by a note in Jay Marshall's hand stating the following: "This gaffed pair of Hamburg 8s was owned and used by Harry Houdini. They came to me in the Zina Bennett collection. Jay Marshall." A story regarding Bennett's collection, which mentions his ownership of Houdini-used handcuffs, appears in Conjuriana, Vol. 1, No. 1 (Spring, 1951).
