French, 19th Century. Louis XV style stained and parcel gilt decorated settee with a curved crest rail centered with carved shell above an upholstered back, joined to a pair of scrolled arms with padded elbow rests above the upholstered and covered seat with a carved shell and foliate serpentine apron on six cabriole legs carved at the knee and terminating in scrolled toes. Height 39", width 62" (arm to arm), seat depth 21", seat height 17".
