Chinese, Late 19th/Early 20th century. Red lacquered apothecary or medicine cabinet of rectangular form with twenty-seven short pull out drawers with round metal hardware pulls at center with drop rings, additional black calligraphic marks on fronts of almost all drawers (one excluding), likely identifying contents originally stored therein, interior of each drawer with six divided storage compartments. Remnant of red wax export seal on back of case. Overall approximate height 39.3", width 34.75", depth 14.75".
