Red Grooms (American, b. 1937- ), "Couple Lighting Cigarette"-1992, lithograph on handmade paper, signed in red lower right and dated, limited edition noted in red as "30/75". Modern print depicting an elegantly dressed couple in profile in shades of blue and white, woman seated in a hoop back chair beside cafe table with tablecloth and man leaning forward to light her cigarette. Unframed sheet size approximately 26" x 18.5". Provenance: Acquired by a private collection from Clars Auction Gallery in Oakland, California as Lot 6387 on their January 2014 auction where it was noted as being from the David C. and Sarajean Ruttenberg Collection in Chicago, Illinois.
