David Stone Maxim (American, b. 1945). "Black Silver" - 1985, acrylic on canvas mixed media assemblage, signed, titled, and dated to verso. Moveable wall assemblage sculpture comprising a backing canvas heavy with drippings of black, white, and silver paint and mounted with two sliding doors reminiscent of barn doors in their mechanics as well as the materials, mounted to top of each door with diagonal wood boards secured with rope. Closed approximately 50.375" x 33" x 6.5. Fully open width approximately 72".
