Continental, 20th century. A matched set of ten Louis XV/ XVI transitional style oak and gilt metal mounted side dining chairs, each chair having a slightly arched rectangular back headed with gilt metal ribbon tied cresting over a conforming caned back within a decorative gilt metal banding, the circular seat rail inset with caning and having a removable seat cover raised on slightly scrolled, front square fluted legs tapering to gilt metal patera blocks and terminating on sabots. Approximate height 38.8", width 18.8", seat height 15.25", seat depth 17.4". Note: There are 11 chairs available however one chair is damaged.
