French, early 20th century. A matched set of four Louis XV style grey painted fauteuil armchairs, each having a serpentine crestrail centered with floral carved cresting over a cartouche shaped padded back and scrolled arms with padded rests enclosing the caned seat with overstuffed cushion over a foliate carved apron, raised on cabriole legs carved at the knee with flowers and terminating on foliate scrolled toes. The back, elbow rests and cushion covered in brown ribbed velvet. Approximate height 38.75", width 20" (arm to arm), seat depth 16", seat height 18".
