Hand crafted, salt glazed stoneware five gallon crock with cylindrical body above turned rim, rounded handles on upper sides, stamped and accented in cobalt blue highlighting with "F.B. NORTON & CO" above "WORCESTER, MASS" above "5" for storage capacity. Large crock further decorated with perched feathered bird flanked by two crossed stylized leafy plant fronds. Overall approximate height 12", diameter of opening at top 12.125". From the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs and Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia.
