Italian, 19th century. A matched pair of Renaissance style walnut armchairs with padded cream colored mohair back and sling seat set with large nailhead trim flanked by scrolled stiles joined by flat arms with scrolled hand-rests raised on square legs united by front paneled stretcher with blind fret carved rosettes and tracery and joined to the back stiles with scroll carved side and back stretcher. Approximate height 44.8", width 25.6", seat depth 13", seat height 18".
