A carved walnut architectural panel flat carved in relief with an inner cartouche filled with woodland and mythological creatures - rooster, raven, unicorn, duck, a cloven beast, and others - all set amid foliate scrolls within a solid border, with a secondary border of foliate scrolls and a final solid border, originally likely a chest front, cornice, or bed bracket. Approximate height 17.75", width 66.75".Provenance: From the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs and Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia.
