Italian, late 19th century. A rococo style burl walnut console or sofa table having a serpentine molded top cross-banded and quarter veneered with central inlaid scrolling design within ebony stringing over a conforming scroll carved and line incised apron with central carved and pierced parcel gilt shell raised on cabriole legs terminating in parcel gilt scrolled toes. Approximate height 34.8", width 56.8", depth 18.25".
