Christofle (French, founded 1830), circa 1963-1983. A 43 piece set of silver plate flatware in the Louis XIII style "Cluny" pattern, each with slightly beveled fiddle-head handle, comprising six 6-piece settings plus five additional forks and two serving pieces. Comprising six dinner forks (8"), 6 dessert forks (6.75"), 6 fish forks (7"), 5 salad forks (6.5"), 6 dinner knives with stainless blades (8.75"), 6 fish knives (7.75"), 6 table spoons (6.75"), a serving fork (9.75"), and a serving spoon (9.75"). Each piece marked "FRANCE" under the maker's mark used between 1935-1983, and "CHRISTOFLE" under the maker's mark used from 1935. Note: the "Cluny" pattern was slightly redesigned as is presented in this lot and released to the market in 1963. The original design called "Uni" was introduced in Christofle's first catalog of 1862.
