Paul Reed (American, 191-2015 ) "Zig Field"-1970, serigraph on paper, pencil signed and dated lower right margin, titled in pencil lower center, limited edition noted in pencil lower right "84/93". Hard line, Op art print depicting a cream, hot pink, blue, purple and green linear form on white background. Framed approximately 29" x 41.25". Sight size approximately 19" x 31.5". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Benno & Babette Rothschild, Columbus, Georgia. Note: Reed was one of the six members of the Washington Color School which included noted artists such as Morris Louis, Kenneth Noland, and Gene Davis. Reed has works in the collections of many museums including the National Gallery of Art, the Phillips Collection, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, the Hirshhorn Museum, and Sculpture Garden and the Smithsonian Museum of American Art, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Detroit Institute of Art, the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, the Dallas Museum of Art, and the High Museum of Art, Atlanta.
