Italian, 19th century. Carved giltwood open armchair with shaped camel back and seat upholstered in off white fabric accented with large brass nailhead borders. Chair with undulating arms with female facial mount in front of scrolling and rocaille decoration above trailing floral spray, leaf tips and C scrolls terminating on scrolled arms. Chair supported on four thick cabriole legs with similar leaf and floral decoration joined by an X form cross stretcher base with scrolling, acanthus leaf tips and central urn accent. Overall approximate height 49.25", width 30.5", depth 26.125", seat to floor 22.25".
