Large Shaker Yellow-painted Turned Bowl, c. 1840, original yellow exterior and white interior painted surfaces, (crack from rim), dia. 20 in. Provenance: Albany Auction Gallery, August 22, 1993. Literature: The bowl is pictured in "Living with Antiques" by Charles and Helen Upton, The Magazine Antiques, July 1966. Note: The bowl was found by Charles Upton in the corner of the laundry room at Hancock in the early 1950s. Estimate $400-600 Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
