Green-painted "Blind Door" Barrel-back Corner Cupboard, Virginia, late 18th century, the molded cornice above a frieze centering a carved vining flower, above cupboard doors with raised panels opening to an interior of shaped shelves and scalloped surround, above a lower paneled single door, interior red paint is an early surface, (imperfections), ht. 84, wd. 38, interior dp. 15 1/2, approx. side dp. to corner 31 in. Provenance: Purchased at a farm auction in Stanton, Virginia, 2002. Estimate $2,500-3,500 molding renailed and reglued in places. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
