Black-painted and Paint-decorated Two-drawer Stand, possibly Maine, early 19th century, the rectangular top above straight skirt joining turned legs, original surface of allover black with green and yellow striping, and designs midway down the legs, replaced pulls, (imperfections, paint wear), ht. 28 3/4, wd. 19, dp. 17 in. Provenance: Gus Knapp. Estimate $300-500 top screwed down at corner and with back to front warp, paint wear especially to top, and also minor wear throughout.
