Four Carved and Salmon Red-painted Architectural Wainscot Panel Sections, New England, early 19th century, with repeating carved fans above horizontal and vertical molded recessed panels, ht. 39, section lgs. are 44 1/4, 49 1/2 56, and 62, overall combined lg. of sections 17 ft. 5 in. Provenance: The Fran Goldstein Collection. Note: Proceeds benefit the Center for Painted Wall Preservation. Estimate $1,000-1,500 surface imperfections, applied molding has fallen off top one piece, crack/loss to edge of one piece; many bent nails sticking out of back of pieces. Overall relatively stable.
