Carved Maple Chest-on-frame, Dunlap School, late 18th century, the molded cornice above two thumb-molded short and five graduated long drawers, set into a molded frame with pierced central scrolls flanked by carved fans, all joining bandy legs on pad feet, brasses appear to be original, refinished, ht. 58 1/2, wd. 37 3/4, dp. 19 in. Estimate $3,000-5,000 likely that the case does not go with the frame, though both are late 18th/early 19th century. Dunlap is not known to work with chestnut secondary wood. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging. Any condition statement given, as a courtesy to a client, is only an opinion and should not be treated as a statement of fact.
