Federal Carved and White-painted Pine Fireplace Surround, New England, early 19th century, with dentil molding, paneled frieze and sides, and reeded details, ht. 58, wd. 83 1/2, mantel dp. 10, opening 40 1/4 x 55 in. Estimate $400-600 dirty and in need of cleaning, white paint flaking over earlier gray. No apparent structural problems, though is is a little wobbly and there is a modern strip of white wood acting as a brace. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
