Condition: Lined, retouch primarily to the sky, fine craquelure. Estimate $3,000-5,000 Framed dimensions are 51 x 42 1/2 x 4 inches. Patch reinforcements, overall wax coating to the reverse, strip lined. Major retouch in the sky, perhaps done at different periods of restoration, with heaviest retouch corresponding to patches on the reverse and other areas more broadly brushed. A line of retouch also in the donkey. Canvas is slightly slack in the upper corners. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
