Impressionist painting depicting two adult white swans at right floating on blue water with a small brown cygnet, or baby swan, swimming before them at left, the loosely handled background with touches of vivid orange and green on the blue ground. Verso of frame with various paper label fragments including one with pencil signature "Vertes", likely by the artist's hand. Verso of stretcher with paper label hand inscribed "VERTES/ SWAN FAMILY", and label from Arthur Lenars & Cie Transports International, 22 Rue de Paradis, Paris. Framed approximately 37.375" x 42.25". Unframed approximately 27.5" x 38.25".
