Blanc-de-chine Shishi, China, 19th/20th century, seated on its hind legs with a cub and a ball under its left arm, ht. 8 1/2 in. Provenance: Mary Andrews Wolff Collection since 1970, purchased from Hatchard's Corfe Castle, Dorset; then by descent to the present owner. Estimate $600-800 minor potting and firing flaws.
