Harry Callahan (American, 1912-1999) Cape Cod, 1972. Signed "Harry Callahan" in pencil l.r., inscribed, titled, and dated "MoMA #187 Cape Cod 1972" in pencil on the verso, the same inscription, title, and date are repeated on the mount in a later hand. Gelatin silver print, sheet size 11 x 13 7/8 in. (27.9 x 35.2 cm), 8 3/4 x 11 5/8 in. (22.2 x 29.5 cm), framed. Condition: Hairline of silver mirroring visible in raking light around lower perimeter, minor handling creases, two linen tape hinges to the upper edge on verso. Provenance: Purchased from Enjay Gallery, Boston, by the current owner. Estimate $800-1,200 There are no other issues to report. The sheet is 11 x 14 and the frame is 16 1/4 x 20 1/4 x 1 1/4 in.
