Red-painted Pine Folding Bed, New England, 19th century, the squared headboard on demilune cutout sides accommodates a rail to which the bed frame attaches, the rail allowing the frame to swivel up, ht. 30 1/2, headboard wd. 54, overall lg. 72 in. Provenance: Property Approved for Deaccession by the Board of Trustees of Historic Deerfield, Inc. Proceeds to the benefit the Museum Collections Fund.
