Small Liverpool Red Transfer-decorated "The New Marriage Act/Hope" Jug, England, early 19th century, one side with an image of two figured being joined in matrimony by an aproned figure, the other with a scene of "Hope" with her anchor, and a sailing ship beyond, (chips, hairlines, red dye has run), ht. 4 3/4 in.
