Large Nottingham Salt-glazed "Beer" Jug, England, the bulbous jug with scraffito leaf decoration and medallion inscribed and dated "BEER/1766" and straight neck and curving handle with banding and crosshatch decoration, ht. 12 3/4 in. Estimate $2,000-4,000 The spout and right half of the neck has a large broken piece that has been glued back into place as well as a couple of other smaller repaired pieces. The handle does not show any evidence of repair nor does the body. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
