Turned Maple and Pine Table, Massachusetts, c. 1700, with rectangular top on vase- and ring-turned legs and stretchers joining the skirt with a drawer, later red paint, ht. 26 1/2, wd. 49, dp. 26 3/4 in. Provenance: Roger Bacon, Exeter, New Hampshire. Estimate $2,000-3,000 Pine top is old with dents, scratches and staining consistent with age and wear. Visible oxidized screws and one protruding wooden peg. Separation between boards. Red-painted maple base doesn't appear to be as old as the top.
