Federal Gilt Mirror, New England, early 19th century, the molded cornice with spherules over a reverse-painted tablet with an urn over a panoply of arms as memorial to George Washington, ht. 30, wd. 17 1/2 in. Provenance: Clark Pierce, Essex, Massachusetts, August 2009. Furniture from a Salem, Massachusetts, Collection Estimate $1,000-1,500 The tablet is original and the glass is wavy and distorted. There maybe some repaint to the background. Also some possible gilt touch up. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
