Maynard Second Model Carbine, c. 1861-65, .50 caliber, serial number 21196, walnut butt stock with light cartouche, marked on the right side of the receiver "MANUFACTURED BY/MASS. ARMS CO./CHICOPEE FALLS," the left side with patent dates, barrel lg. 20 in. Estimate $200-400 A few dings and nicks in the stock small carved initials, the lever is a little loose and falls, and the lock functions properly.
