Classical Bronze Figure of a Roman Stateman, 19th century, modeled seated on an Egyptian revival chair and with an oil lamp to one side, set on an oval slate base, unsigned, bronze lg. 18, ht. 15; slate base, lg. 21, ht. 2 1/4 in. Estimate $400-600 Patach of patina discolored on base of bronze; chip repair along back rim of slate base. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
