Wedgwood Black Basalt Ewer, England, early 19th century, bulbous shape with scrolled foliate molded handle terminating at a Bacchus mask, laurel and berry banded border above a frieze of Dancing Hours in relief, impressed mark, ht. 12 5/8 in. Estimate $600-800 Restored handle; small chips to corners and edges of plinth. No other evidence of any cracks, chips or restorations throughout.
