Neale Variegated Vase, England, c. 1780, black speckling to a white terra-cotta body with gilded relief of maiden head handles, foliate festoons, oval medallions with Roman portrait and flowerhead, acanthus border, set on a black basalt plinth, impressed mark, ht. 9 1/2 in. Estimate $300-500 Missing cover; chips to the nose of one maiden handle; slight nick to a bottom corner of plinth. Areas of original and re-gilding with loss.
